Welcome to the website of Lest We Forget. This page is the English language introduction page. All other pages of the site are in Dutch.

Lest We Forget is a living history camp, that shows how the liberators of The Netherlands had to live and work in 1944. The message behind this camp is clear, lest we forget what happened all those years ago. Sometimes we need to be reminded what great price had to be paid, only 65 years ago, for the liberty we now take for granted.

The event was a great success in 2003, 2006 and 2008 and will be held again in 2010.

The event runs through one week. From monday to friday classes of schoolchildren will visit the site to get during a morning or an afternoon a living history lesson about many aspects of the war. During the weekend of october 2-3 the camp is open for all visitors. Guides will be available to show guests around.
